I Never Know What to Name a Title

Have you been keeping up with the Bryan Kohberger murder in Idaho? I have but I've decided no more. He isn't going to occupy my mind another minute. He doesn't deserve the attention. I don't want to let evil occupy my mind either, and he is, period.

We have decided not to pursue the condo we made an offer on. We paid for an inspection and several things needed to be repaired, the roof being important, and some leaks under sinks. The Seller was to get back to us in three days saying which repairs they would perform. They have not filed an official document but told our realtor they won't fix anything. We have no idea how much the roof repairs would cost, or the leaks, so we aren't willing to have the repairs done on our dime.

And a gripe: we went to Dairy Queen today while someone was viewing our house. In the restroom, the toilet seat covers were up so high on the wall I could barely reach them. How is a person in a wheelchair going to reach them? I know they have to get out of the wheelchair and sit on the terlet but they may not be able to stand their whole height to reach the seat covers. It was the ADA stall. An interestingly, the restroom door has a lock you need to enter numbers in.

We had to leave home twice today for showings. Saturday there will be an Open House and we will leave for three hours.

That's all folks.

Yes, I'm Alive and Sometimes Well

Let's see. I was sick for three weeks in May, I don't know where June went and how it is already the middle of July.

We have made an offer on a condo on a golf course, in Richland. It will be closer to our daughters. The offer was accepted, and not even counter offered. Then we had the inspection. There are some pressing issues on the roof and a few other things. The seller has 3 days to get back to us to say he will, or he won't do the necessary repairs.

Meanwhile we've been de-cluttering our house and moved furniture out. We rented two pods to put stuff in and one of them left today to be stored at the business we rented it from. The second pod is out by the garage and the garage stuff will be moved into it.

I had a housekeeper who wasn't related to us for the very first time in my life! We wanted the house to be spic and span for showings. She even cleaned the blinds on the windows. She just might have a new client.

It is awkward living without some of our things. I wasn't the only one packing so some things got packed that we still need. We'll manage. I hope the house sells fast so we can get our lives back!

I'm still writing to the Letters Against Isolation nursing homes. I can sit and write a letter when I need to get off my feet. I am using cards I've made, too. Two guys wrote to me - Vic wasn't too happy about that. So now I don't use my last name and only put the address label with just the address on it. He is worried about random people knowing where to find me. Us. I just think the guys who wrote are lonely and if they are living in a nursing home or assisted living, they aren't likely to stalk me, or whatever. The idea of the letters is to brighten someone's day, not to get a letter in return.

Tomorrow we should hear back from the Seller about whether he will do any of the repairs or not. There are orange-ish walls that will need to be painted if we end up getting the condo. Shades of 1970.

Ta ta for now,

Nancy
